Rules & Regulations? Colossians 2:16-23 Main Point : Our life in Christ is not based on any human system of rules and regulations which cannot restrain sinful desires, rather, we are set free through our union with the Living Christ! 1. Even the Old Testament regulations were only a shadow of the reality which is in Christ. (verse 17) 2. The false teachers created a false human system of regulations that had no value in restraining sinful desires. (verses 21-22) 3. The reality is found in our union with the Living Christ through whom we died to the basic principles of the world. (verses 20)
