CloseWhat Does Jesus teach About Hell? II Thessalonians 1:1-10 Main Point:Those that do not know God, who do not obey the Gospel will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from God’s presence. Verse 9 – “they will be punished with ‘everlasting destruction’…†‘Everlasting’ = ‘aionoia’ – same word used for ‘eternal’ life (John 10:28). 1.Have you come to know God through putting your faith in Jesus Christ? (verse 8) Romans 10:9-11 John 3:16-18, 36 2.Jesus taught clearly that for those who reject him, hell is a state of ‘eternal fire and punishment’ prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:31-46) Also Matthew 23:33 3.Jesus spoke from Heaven to the Apostle John about the end and judgment. Revelation 20:11-15; 21:6-8
