CloseThe God Who Punishes Exodus 34:4-7 Main Point: Because of who He is, Father God loves us and will forgive us if we ask, but He does not dismiss His justice – He punishes the guilty. Exodus 20:4-6 1. God proclaims His nature of perfect love and perfect Justice to Moses. Verses 6-7 He loves us perfectly but He is also perfectly just = He does what is perfectly right. Leviticus 11:45 “…therefore be holy, because I am holy.†I Samuel 15:29 Isaiah 53:4-6 John 6:23 2. God will not leave the guilty unpunished – those who refuse and hate Him. Verse 7 John 6:23 3. There is a spiritual dynamic that effects future generations. Deuteronomy 28:1-6; 15-20 Hebrews 12:25-29
