Being An Effective Father Ephesians 6:4 Main Point: The scriptures will teach us how to be effective Fathers if we will them! An effective Father is one who: 1. Seeks to the Lord. >If you are going to effectively love and lead your family, you must love and obey the Lord! If not you are going in your own strength… Matthew 22:37 Jesus says this is the greatest command. *If you‘re going to Love and lead your family, they need to see you as authentic lover and follower of Jesus! 2. Seeks to his children in the Lord. >He admits when he is wrong, has sinned and repents to the Lord and to his family. We all fail – it’s what we do with our failures. 3. Seeks to avoid his children. Exasperate = . How? By being a hypocrite. By being harsh. By living out of one’s flesh. Ephesians 4:29-32
