The Cost of Disobedience!

The Cost of Disobedience! Deuteronomy 1:19-40 Main Point: The Lord calls us to obey Him wholeheartedly so that we honor Him and can enjoy His blessings! Psalm 86:12 “I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your Name forever.” Matthew 5:17-20 1. The Lord has promised to be with us and meet all our needs, therefore, we are to trust and obey Him and not fear. (verses 21; 29-31) John 6:37 “…whoever comes to me I will never drive away." Matthew 6:25-34 2. The commands of the Lord always lead to good outcomes (verse 25) Matthew 7:7-11 3. We can deceive ourselves into disobeying His commands (verses 26-29) James 1:22 “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says!" *Their disobedience resulted in the loss of enjoying the Lord’s promise. (verses 34-35)
