CloseChrist’s Ambassadors II Corinthians 5:11-21 Main Point: Now that we are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, we are called to be Christ’s ambassadors. We represent Him to everyone around us. Ambassador = one who acts as an authorized representative, messenger. If we are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, then we are a new creation through the indwelling Spirit – the old is gone and we are new! verses 11,17-19 Reconcile = to exchange (as with equivalent coins) God has exchanged in Christ our relationship with Him (enmity-enemies > object of His pursuing love) *You and I must be reconciled to God Thru Christ! 2. As His ambassadors Jesus has committed the message of reconciliation to us to appeal to the unsaved around us. Appeal – To call near, invite, beseech, implore V. 20 ‘we implore you’ = we invite you, urge you, beseech you – be reconciled to God thru Christ! His Love compels us! God is making His Appeal through us! Luke 14:16-24 Who are you ‘appealing’ to?
