From Disgrace Came Christmas! Luke 1:1-25 Main Point: God displayed His faithfulness in bringing the Messiah to His people; He uses even ‘disgraceful’ circumstances of ordinary People to fulfill His plans. 1. Malachi prophesied that ‘Elijah’ would come to turn and prepare hearts to the Lord before the coming of the Messiah. Malachi 3:1; 4:5-6 2. God uses Zechariah & Elizabeth in their ‘disgraceful’ circumstances to bring about the fulfillment of this prophesy and prepared the way for the coming of the Messiah. John was to be that ‘Elijah’. Verses 13-17 Matthew 11:12-14 3. God will work through our worst circumstances to bring about His will in our lives! Philippians 1:3-6
