Transformed By The Spirit II Corinthians 3:7-18 Main Point: Jesus sent His Spirit to live in us and transform us into His image and likeness so that we will reflect Him in this world! John 14:16-18 Jesus promised to send the ‘Helper, Counselor’ = the ‘One who comes alongside’, to be in us. Verses 14-16 Only when you turn to Jesus is the veil that prevents understanding removed. Verse 17 The Lord Jesus lives in us by His Spirit and brings freedom! John 8:32-36 Verse 18a We, who have been set free ‘behold as in a mirror’ the Lord’s glory – we behold and reflect Him! Hebrews 1:3 Verse 18b We are being continually ‘transformed’ (metamorpho) into the likeness of Jesus with ever-increasing glory!
