Knowing the One True God
Knowing the One True God John 17:1-8 Main Point: God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth that we may know Him, the only true God, through Jesus Christ and have eternal life. Isaiah 45:5; 43:10-11 The Son was with the Father before the world began. verse 5 1. Jesus Christ brought glory to the Father by revealing the Father to us and providing a way for us to know Him. verse 4-6 To Know = understand, perceive, have knowledge of. verse 3 I John 1:1-3 Revealed > ‘they obeyed your word’ His Work > verse 7-8 > ‘They know… they accepted, they believed.’ 6:28-29 2. Jesus Christ has been granted authority to give us eternal life (Zoa). verse 2 We must believe in Jesus Christ and obey His Word! Philippians 2:5-11
