A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Where is the Power of God?
Romans 1:16-17

Main Point:
Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ God has given us the power of salvation, and righteousness through faith.

1. What is the Gospel? Jesus Christ, God’s Son, gave his life as a sacrifice, and shed his blood as an atonement for our sins, and was raised from the dead, raised to life for our justification.

2. We must not be ashamed of this Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for salvation!

Paul is not ashamed of this Gospel of Jesus Christ!

3. The power of the Gospel saves us!

*‘It is the power of God for salvation’ v.16 = ‘sodzo’ = saved fully, wholly – saved from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and ultimately the presence of sin.

Thru the Gospel we are saved from the penalty of sin and we are justified by faith (chps 1-5).

‘Faith’ = conviction as true, believing so that I am convinced, and rely upon it.

‘Righteous’ = being right with, acceptable to God – in relationship and moral character.

Luke 2:25-35
Main Point:
The Ancient prophecy of the Lord’s __________ was fulfilled so that we can have, and be light for revelation for salvation.

1. Simeon saw the Messiah Child, and the prophecy was fulfilled to him personally. (verses 26 & 30)

2. The Lord’s prophecy was that the Messiah would bring the light for for salvation to all people!
(verses 30-32)

The true meaning of Christmas is that Jesus Christ, the Word, put on flesh, and revealed God’s to us so that we can live as His Sons and Daughters.

God-the Father, God-the Son, & God-the Spirit, are one (Deut. 6:4). For the first time, the Son would leave this perfect, divine relationship and come to earth. (John 16:28)

The grace of Jesus not only saves us from sin and brings forgiveness, but it also transforms us from !
