Romans 12:1-2

Main Point: As we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

‘Metamorpho’ = to be changed into another form

1. Offer it up! verse 1

In view of God’s mercy we are to offer our bodies/ourselves as a ‘living’ sacrifice to God!

His Mercy – Romans 5:6-9

‘Living’ sacrifice – in contrast to a dead animal sacrifice. We are to give ourselves completely, unreservedly to Him for His

2. Don’t conform – be transformed! verse 3a

As we offer ourselves up to God we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

Renew = Renovation, complete change for the better

We have the Mind of Christ – thru the indwelling Spirit of Christ!

Message: “Knowing the One True God” from Tom Leonard

John 17:1-8

Main Point:
God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth that we may know Him, the only true God, through Jesus Christ and have eternal life.

Isaiah 45:5; 43:10-11

The Son was with the Father before the world began. verse 5

1. Jesus Christ brought glory to the Father by revealing the Father to us and providing a way for us to know Him. verse 4-6

To Know = understand, perceive, have knowledge of. verse 3

I John 1:1-3

Revealed > ‘they obeyed your word’

His Work > verse 7-8 > ‘They know… they accepted, they believed.’ 6:28-29

2. Jesus Christ has been granted authority to give us eternal life (Zoa). verse 2

We must believe in Jesus Christ and obey His Word!

How do we know what is truth? Jesus tells us how we are to know what

is truth in this world.

1. Jesus asks the Father to sanctify us by the truth and
declares it is God’s Word that is truth. verse 17

Message: “Set Your Mind” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Set Your Mind!

Colossians 3:1-10

Main Point:
Christ calls us to set our set on the things of His kingdom, and to put to death the evil desires that come from our sinful nature.

1. Have you been raised to new life in Christ?! (verse 1)

Verse 3 ‘You died and your life is now hidden with Christ…’

II Corinthians 5:17

2. We are called to set our heart (affections) and our mind (will) on the good things and priorities of His kingdom. (verse 2)

‘Set your mind’ = exercise the mind, to interest oneself. .

verse 10 ‘put on the new self which is being renewed…’

3. We must put to death (let them die) all those evil, worldly desires which belong to our old sinful nature. (verse 5)

‘Put to death’ = to make dead, to deprive of power, destroy the strength of. .

Main Point:
As Jesus ministered, He had compassion on the lost. As we live do we see the harvest of lost people – do we care, and what are we doing about it?

1. Jesus has the Father’s heart for lost people – He wants them found! verse 36

II Peter 3:9 ‘…The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’

Are you in Christ?!

2. Are you asking the Lord to send you and other believers to the lost, and are you supporting those who Jesus sends out? verse 37

John 9:4 ‘As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
