Main Point:
In order to receive eternal life we must follow all of God’s commands; or give up every thing and trust in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

The Question – (verse 17)

1. Which commands have you not kept? (verses 18-22)

2. What has a hold on you that you have not given up? (verses 23-27)

3. Jesus has great reward for those who give up everything to follow Him. (verse 28)

I Peter 1:1-9

Main Point:
We have deep, abiding joy even through the trials God allows, which prove our faith in Jesus Christ genuine that it may result in praise!

II Timothy 1:12

1. We have been chosen and saved by God through Jesus Christ and our inheritance in Christ is kept by God for us.

John 10:27-30

2. We are saved through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, for obedience, which includes sprinkling (cleansing) – we’re being transformed!

I John 1:8-9

3. We are to rejoice through the trials, knowing that our faith is being tested and refined – proved genuine, and result in praise.

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the Day of Christ Jesus!”

John 3:16-18
Main Point
God loves us so much that He sent His One True Son to this earth to save us – whoever puts their faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, has eternal life!

1. Jesus Christ is God’s One True Son. .

‘One and only’ (monogenes) = Sole, only one
John 1:1-2

2. God sent Him to save us not condemn us!
verse 17

‘Save’ = keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger and destruction, to make well, heal, restore to health
John 12:47-48

3. We must believe, put our faith in Him to be saved!

II Corinthians 5:1-10

Main Point:
We are to make it our goal to please the Lord for we will all give an account of ourselves before the judgment seat of Christ.

‘Please’ = Labor/strive out of love

1. A new Heavenly body is coming! verses 1-3

Though this earthly body is wasting away, God has a new heavenly body waiting for us!

II Corinthians 4:16-18

2. God’s given us His Spirit as a deposit! verse 5

Ephesians 1:13-14 We belong to Christ!

3. We will be rewarded for the good we do! verse 10

Revelation 22:12

There will be reward for doing good but also loss for bad.

I Corinthians 3:10-15

Romans 12:1-2

Main Point: As we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

‘Metamorpho’ = to be changed into another form

1. Offer it up! verse 1

In view of God’s mercy we are to offer our bodies/ourselves as a ‘living’ sacrifice to God!

His Mercy – Romans 5:6-9

‘Living’ sacrifice – in contrast to a dead animal sacrifice. We are to give ourselves completely, unreservedly to Him for His

2. Don’t conform – be transformed! verse 3a

As we offer ourselves up to God we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

Renew = Renovation, complete change for the better

We have the Mind of Christ – thru the indwelling Spirit of Christ!

Embrace the new you!
