Ephesians 1:19b-23

B. The radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being. (v. 3)

‘Radiance’
As the sunlight is the radiance from the sun, separate, yet inseparable – so the Son… God’s glory shining forth to us.

‘Charakter’ = Stamp – exact expression or image, precise replica, in every respect – talking about the Son who is the Supreme One

Colossians 1:15

C. The Agent of and the Sustainer of all creation (v. 2)

Colossians 1:16-17

Do you know Him, this One thru Whom God brought all things into existence & sustains all things by His powerful word? He is the center of all reality and existence. Surrender to Him, invite Him into your life- and you will know a new and transformed life!

Message: “Witnessing While Waiting” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Witnessing While Waiting
Acts 1:1-11

Main Point:
While we wait for His return Jesus calls us to live in and witness to

His resurrection through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

*What are we doing in our lives that could not be done without God’s

power?

1. He comes to live in us- Baptizes/fills us with power to live in new

resurrection life. (verse 8)

*The words baptize/fill/receive/come upon are used interchangeably,

but emphasize different aspects of the Spirit’s work.

*Receive = ‘lay hold’ of (a person) to use them.

*Come upon = to arrive, overtake

*Baptize = completely immerse – (Holy Spirit baptizes us = around us

and in us > in contrast to John’s baptism of water/ repentance)

*Fill = to fill up, fulfill as in supply

Acts 1:8 > 2:4 > 8:14-17

2. The Holy Spirit’s power is also given to us to be witnesses of

Christ. (verse 8)

II Corinthians 5:17-20

3. We cannot live in His fullness if we are not filled everyday!

Who has Jesus put in your circle of connection for you to witness to?
