Jeremiah 31:31-34

Main Point:
God will fill all His people with His Spirit, so that He can accomplish His work of making His Name known among the nations! Are you filled with His Spirit?

1. God’s Preparation (Genesis 1:1-2) God’s Spirit !

2. Moses’ plea (Numbers 11:29) That the Spirit would be upon all God’s people,

3. Ezekiel’s Prophecy – Ezekiel 36:22-27
He will cleanse our hard hearts from all our impurities and idols. He gives us a new heart of flesh (moldable) and new spirit, and removes our heart of stone. He will put His Spirit in us and move us to follow Him, that His Name will be known among the nations

‘Move’ = to effect an action or change.

4. Jeremiah’s Prophecy Jer. 31:31-33 God will make a New Covenant with His people – “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.”

How does He do this?Hebrews 8:8; 10:15-16He puts His Laws/will/desire in us by His Spirit – internally, rather than setting it before us

II Corinthians 9:6-15
Main Point:
The Lord desires us to grow in the grace of giving; that we would give generously and faithfully for the work of His ministry and for the needs of His people.
II Corinthians 8:7

WHAT’S GIVING ALL ABOUT?
1. It is an act of worship to the Lord
(verse 7)
-We honor Him and declare He’s worthy of our ultimate devotion. Proverbs 3:9

-We declare our dependence on Him and recognize Him as our source. Deuteronomy 8:17-18

2. It is an issue of grace (verses 7-8)

*We give willingly, not out of guilt or compulsion.

The grace of giving is the power of the Lord to change our hearts so that we give, not because we have to, but because we want to!
3. It supplies the needs of the Body. (verse 12)
II Corinthians 8:13-15
-We are to work not just for our own needs, but to have something to share with those in need. Eph. 4:28; Rom.12:13

-We support those called to the work of the ministry.
I Corinthians 9:7-14
