Deuteronomy 1:19-40
Main Point:
The Lord calls us to obey Him wholeheartedly so that we honor Him and can enjoy His blessings!
Psalm 86:12 “I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your Name forever.â€
Matthew 5:17-20
1. The Lord has promised to be with us and meet all our needs, therefore, we are to trust and obey Him and not fear. (verses 21; 29-31)
John 6:37 “…whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”
Matthew 6:25-34
2. The commands of the Lord always lead to good outcomes (verse 25)
Matthew 7:7-11
3. We can deceive ourselves into disobeying His commands (verses 26-29)
James 1:22 “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says!”

2. Live in peace with each other; warn the idle; encourage the timid; help the weak; be PATIENT with everyone!

3-a. Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.

3-b. do not put out the Spirit’s fire, do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything; avoid every kind of evil.

The risen Jesus Christ calls us to faith in Him as Messiah (Christ) of which Moses and the prophets had spoken.
1. The account: Jesus was crucified, dead and buried but some of the women and disciples found the grave empty, and angels appeared to the women.

2. The prophecy: Jesus explains that Moses and all the prophets foretold His passion and resurrection.
