Message: “The Wisdom of God” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” The Wisdom of God
I Corinthians 1:18-25

Main Point:
The message of the cross – Christ crucified and risen – is the wisdom & power of God that saves those who believe, but it is foolishness to those who do not believe and are perishing.

1. The world through its “wisdom” does not know God, and considers His wisdom (Christ crucified) foolishness, fulfilling His plan. vv. 19-21

John 3:16-18

2. The wisdom of God is the power of God, saving us who believe in the crucified and risen Christ. vv. 18; 24

The world’s wisdom has no power to atone for our sins nor transform sin’s power in us.

Romans 6:20-23

Message: “Living God-Like” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Living God-Like
Matthew 7:7-12

Main Point
We are to relate to God in the way that He truly is, and relate to others in the way that represents Him correctly.

1. Father God loves us, wants to meet our needs and give us good gifts – but we must ask, seek and knock!

Luke 11:5-10

James 2:2-3 “… you do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

2. The way that God relates to us and the way we want others to relate to us, is the way that we are called to relate to others – correctly representing Him.

Galatians 5:13-15

Message: “Reconciled to God” from Christoph Koenig

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Reconciled to God 2 Cor. 5:16-21

The New View (Vs. 16-17)
Christ’s love compels us to change our worldview.
We must see those without Christ as truly lost.
We must see those in Christ as fully transformed.
Our worldview must communicate the love of Christ before anything else.

We are messengers of reconciliation. (Vs. 20-21).
This is the Christian’s indispensable duty.
More than a messenger, we become Ambassadors.
More than Ambassadors, we become the very righteousness of God.
