Protected Yet Trusted
Protected Yet Tested I Peter 1:1-9 (There is no video due to technical issues) Main Point: Father God protects and keeps us, but through the trials He allows, He proves our faith in Jesus Christ genuine that it may result in praise! *II Timothy 1:12 “For I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.†1.Our inheritance of salvation in Christ is kept for us in heaven where it can never perish. (verses 4-5) John 10:27-30 2. We must exercise our faith – trusting His word and living a sanctified, and obedient new life. (verses 2 & 7) (II Peter 1:5-8) Romans 8:12-13 3. We are to rejoice in the trials, knowing that our faith is being tested – proved genuine, and results in praise. (verses 6-7) Philippians 1:6
