That Our Eyes May Be Opened
That Our Heart May Be Opened Ephesians 1:15-21 Main Point: Paul prays that the eyes of our heart will be opened through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we will know the Father better; and know the hope, inheritance, and power that are ours in Jesus Christ! Opened (photizo) = Illuminate, make to see. 1. The eyes of our heart (transformed mind) are opened as the Father gives us through the Spirit wisdom and revelation. verse17 Revelation (apokalupsis) = the revealing/unveiling of truth. Wisdom (sophia) = the true knowledge of God & life, and the understanding to be able to apply it. I Corinthians 2:9-14 2. As we know the Father better, we will know the glorious hope, the riches of His inheritance, and incomparably great power we have in Christ! verses 18-19 I Corinthians 2:9
