That We May Know Him! John 17:1-8 Main Point: The Father sent His Son to earth that we may know the only true God through Jesus Christ and have eternal life! 1. Jesus Christ brought glory to the Father by revealing the Father to us and providing a way for us to know Him. (verse 4) Hebrews 8:7-12 2. To Know = Understand, perceive, have knowledge of. (verse 3) I John 2:3-6 = To Know in such a way so that I act upon. 2. The Father, therefore, glorified Jesus Christ, the Son, as Lord over all! (verse 5) Philippians 2:5-11
