The Grace of Christmas
The Grace of Christmas John 1:14-18 Main Point: God gave the law through Moses, but gave us His _________ ____________________ through the Messiah, Jesus. 1. The Law which came thru Moses, – but it could not justify us before God. verse 17 Romans 3:20 “Therefore no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the Law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.” *This is the truth that we must come to, accept – and it is the truth with which God dealt with – our sin problem! 2. God sent His Son, Jesus, to become .verse 14 ‘Word’ (logos) = that which is spoken or conceived of in the mind. Jesus Christ is the essential, creative ‘Word’ of God. (God communicating, expressing Himself) 3. We see God’s in Jesus, and through Him, receive the gift of grace and truth. verse 14, 18 verses 12-13. Have you received God’s Christmas gift of Grace?
