CloseMain Point: The Lord loves us and has given us His terms for us to follow to show that we love Him and to enjoy His blessings! 1. The third term of the covenant God says, "You shall not misuse the Name of the LORD your God'. LORD = YAHWEH - 'I am who I am' = the Eternal, Self-Existent One 2. Your name represents three things: a. Reputation b. Character c. Authority 3. There are many ways we should avoid using God's Name: a. We should avoid using God's Name to swear. b. We should avoid using God's Name to manipulate. c. We should avoid using God's Name impulsively.
