Thessalonica – background Acts 17:1-4 Here they give thanks for the genuiness of their faith. 1. True faith comes from the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit, not mere human persuasion. verses 4-6 They knew the Thessalonians were saved because the power of God was demonstrated. I Corinthians 2:1-5 Does your faith arise from the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit? 2. True faith results in repentance from sin, and imitation of Jesus Christ, serving God with works of love and endurance that impacts those around us. verses 3, 7-10 Jude vvs. 20-23
