CloseWhat Are We Devoted To? Acts 2:42-47 Main point: Is our discipleship with Jesus translating into devotion to God’s Word, the Body, Community and Worship? 1. Our repentance from unbelief and sin means turning to Christ’s Lordship in all areas of our lives including our individualism. Verse 36 John 17:20-23 2. Our discipleship must translate into corporate devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, His Word, His Worship and His Body! Verses 42-47 - Apostle’s Teaching = God’s Word, especially the Gospel – the fulfillment of God’s plan & purposes. Chp. 2:14-41 - Fellowship = the oneness of the Body (given by Christ’s Spirit). verses 44-45 - Breaking of Bread = Communion (in the context of the common meal) verse 46b - Prayer = corporate worship and intercession. verse 46a Ephesians 2:19-22
