Relentless Love!

Relentless Love! Luke 15:11-32 Main Point:Father God relentlessly loves us and expectantly waits for us when we sin or stray away from Him. Exodus 15:13 “In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed.” Jeremiah 31:3 “…I have loved you with an everlasting love, and drawn you with cords of kindness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 “It is because of the Lord’s mercies that we are not destroyed, because His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whoever will believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” 1. Even when we stray away from Him Father God is filled with compassion and love for us! (verse 20) When God Ran (Written by Benny Hester) The day I left home, I knew I'd broken His heart I wondered then If things could ever be the same Then one night I remembered His love for me And down that dusty road- Ahead I could see It's the only time,The only time I ever saw Him run When He ran to me,Took me in His arms, held my head to His chest, Said "My son's come home again" Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes With forgiveness in His voice, He said "Son, do you know I still love you?" 2.When we stray or sin, we must first come to our senses, confess and repent; then receive the Father’s compassion and mercy. (verses 17-20) I John 1:8-10 We are to have the same heart towards other prodigals rather than an attitude of resentment like the older brother. (verses 28-32)
