Knowing the Love of the Father John 17:20-26 Main Point: Jesus prays that we will be one in Him and understand the Father’s love – the same love He has for the Son! 1. Jesus Prays that we may fully know the Father’s love – the same love He has for the Son. verses 24-26 *Do you know the Love the Father has for you ? ! I John 3:1 ‘How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are…’ 2.Jesus prays that we will be one in Him – and thru us the world will know that the Father loves them! verses 20-23 I John 4:19 ‘We love because He first loved us.’ Romans 5:5 ‘And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given to us.’
