A message from the series “God’s Plan.” What is God’s Plan?
Genesis 12:1-3

Main Point:
God desires to save every person on earth through the seed of Abraham (Genesis 12), from sin and death (Exodus 19-24); into an everlasting kingdom (I Samuel 7:8-16); though the blood of His Son, Messiah Jesus, the King of the whole earth (Luke 22:17-30).

1. Creation Genesis 1:1; 1:26-28
a. Special Creation – Humans created in the image of God.
b. Given Dominion – Rule over everything.
c. Declared Very Good! Everything created was good.

2. The Fall Genesis 3
a. Deceived by the Serpent verses 1-5
b. Intentional Disobedience verse 6
c. Alienation verses 7-10
d. Consequences: Curses verses 11-24

Message: “What Jesus Gives Us” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” What Jesus Gives Us
Mark 10:26-31

Main Point
When we give up everything to follow Jesus we receive back more than we can imagine in this life and in the age to come.

Ephesians 3:20

1. You have to give up everything to be a follower of Jesus.
verse 29

Luke 14:33 “In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.”

(verse 31)

2. Jesus gives back to us a hundred times more than we ever had! verse 30

I Timothy 6:17

3. We will receive eternal life (unending) in the age to come!
verse 30

Ephesians 3:14-21

Main Point:
Paul prays for us to be strengthened by the indwelling of Jesus Christ: to have power to live transformed lives.

*The Father has provided the strength/power we need to live transformed lives. II Peter 1:3

He prays for us to be strengthened with:
1. Power for Christ to dwell completely/fully in our hearts. (verses 16-17)

I Peter 3:15

2. Power to grasp/comprehend the surpassing love of Christ. (verse 18)

Message: “You Have to Die to Live!” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” You Have to Die to Live!
Romans 6:1-4

Main Point:
Baptism symbolizes death to our old sinful life, and rising into the new life we receive from Christ which we now live through His indwelling Spirit.

What baptism is not…
-It is not a means of Grace (Infant baptism)
-Baptism does not save you – Titus 3:4-5 > I Peter 3:21

It is part of our discipleship.

#1. The Command of Baptism: Acts 2:38

This statement came is response to…
Matt. 28:19 Make disciples by ‘going, baptizing, teaching…’ Apostles were following thru w/ Jesus’ command/commission

Matt. 3:13-17 Jesus was baptized – gave us a pattern to follow.

#2. The Significance of Baptism: Romans 6:1-4

P – Picture – of our union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection

I – Identification – we are identified publicly as a disciple/follower of Jesus Christ, and as a member of His Body

C – Commitment – we are committing, consecrating ourselves to follow Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” What Must We Do?!
Acts 2:29-41

Main Point
If you want to be saved from your sins and this corrupt generation, than you must put your faith in Jesus Christ – repent of your sins and be baptized in His Name.

John 8:23-24

1. Jesus has been raised from death by God and made Lord and Christ; and now offers forgiveness and the promised Holy Spirit for those who will believe. verses 32-26

Acts 4:10-12

*We are God’s Enemies until we are saved through Christ.

Romans 5:6-10

2. To receive forgiveness of our sins and this gift of the Holy Spirit we must:

A. Repent of our unbelief and sins – verse 38a
B. Be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ – verse 38b

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Eyewitness to the Risen Christ!
I Corinthians 15:1-8

Main point:
We must hold firmly to the gospel of the risen Jesus Christ by which we are saved – we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Him.

‘Gospel’ = Good News!

*Paul and the disciples were eyewitnesses to the risen Christ, and then more than 500 people were eyewitnesses!

1. Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice and His shed blood paid for our forgiveness – in His blood is the New Covent. Matthew 26:26-28

Matthew 20:17-19

2. We must receive and believe this gospel, and hold firm to this word of truth that saves us! (verses 1-2)

Message: “Hold Out the Word of Life” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Hold Out the Word of Life
Philippians 2:14-18

Main Point:
We are to shine like stars holding out the Word of Life to a lost generation so that they can see God at in us!

1. Shining like stars means not complaining, or arguing, and seeking to be blameless and pure – examples of the of God. verses 14-16

I Peter 1:13-16

2. Reaching out to people means that some may come to faith in Christ Jesus! verses 16-17

3. Paul rejoiced at their faith – as we in those that come to faith through our witness! verses 17-18

*We pray and work that our labor may not be in vain.
