Do we understand the Father’s heart toward us when we sin or stray? Do we have the Father’s heart towards prodigal people?

1. When we sin or stray, we must first come to our senses, confess and repent, then receive the Father’s compassion and mercy.

2. We are to expectantly wait for prodigals with compassion and mercy, and rejoice when they return, rather than being angry and resentful of them and of God’s compassion and mercy, like the older brother.

Grace is give us freely through faith in Jesus Christ and it is ours; it justifies us and make us righteous before God when we start and all the way through our walk!

What is Grace? It is the unmerited favor of God toward us.

We not only begin our relationship with God through the Grace of Jesus Christ but we are maintained by Grace!

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Main Point:
By His death and resurrection, Jesus obtained the gift of the Holy Spirit for every one of us who are His disciples. Receive Christ’s Spirit who dwells in us and fills us with power for living!

In order to receive this gift:

1) We must repent & believe in Jesus Christ as Lord

2) We must surrender to Jesus Christ and confess Him publicly (Baptism is the formal public confession).

A message from the series “Revelation.” v.19 ‘Those who I love I rebuke and discipline.’

Main Point:
The Risen Lord Jesus Christ urges us to examine ourselves to see if we are lukewarm in our commitment to Him. We must move from delusion to dependence on Him!

1. The Indictment – vv.15-16 ‘You are lukewarm (neither hot nor cold) – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.’

2. The Delusion – v.17 “I am rich – have need of nothing’. Jesus says, ‘you are wretched, poor, blind, and naked.’

3. The Cure – v.19 Repent – turn from these and receive true riches from Him.

How do we receive true riches from Christ?

In so doing we open the door of our hearts that He might come in and be hot – on fire in us!

If we are born of God and truly know him, then His agape love will flow from us to others, and is made complete in us.

Agape = Unconditional, Self-Sacrificing Love.

1. God has defined agape love by initiating a relationship with us and sending His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins

2. We are reborn into a new life that is expressed through loving others with His agape love flowing for from us, making us complete.

1 John 4:19-21

We were created to know and share His love!

A message from the series “Revelation.” Main Point:
The Risen Christ commands us to endure patiently in the midst of a hostile environment, with and attacking enemy (Satan).

1. The Risen Lord Jesus Christ has set an open door before us. Regardless of what or who we face, though we have little strenght, no one can shut the entrance to His Kingdom.

2. We are to endure patiently – we are to hold on to His Word and not deny His name, even while being tested by the hour of trial that is coming upon the whole world.

The Risen Lord Jesus Christ calls us to wake up from our spiritual slumber and renew our commitment and obedience to him.

1. Regardless of how we look to others, Jesus knows our true spiritual state – our hearts, and exhorts us to be spiritually alive.

2. The steps to waking up are: Remember – Repent – Renew

*The secret to living the Christ life is to live in continual repentance.
