Galatians 4:4-7

Main Point:
Father God sent His Son, Jesus, so that you and I can become His Daughters and Sons, and by His Son’s Spirit in us we receive all of His rights and benefits!

1. Because we’re redeemed, we are His dearly loved children and His Spirit in us cries out ‘Abba, Father’. (verses 5-6)

Abba = ‘Daddy’ – a term of endearment.

Ephesians 5:1-2

2. We are His heirs and live out all the rights and privileges so that we can love Father God, and one another! (verse 7)

Acts 2:29-41

Main Point: Jesus obtained the gift of the Spirit for us by His death and resurrection. Receive Christ and His Spirit will live in you and give you power for living!

Ephesians 2:8-9

We must repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (verses 37-38

Repent = A change of mind;
to turn 180 degrees

John 8:23-24

2. We must publicly confess Jesus Christ (baptism is the formal public confession). (verse 38

3. We receive power to love God, love others and live a life that glorifies Him!

Message: “Is Seeing Believing?” from Tom Leonard

A message from the series “Not Part of a Series.” Is Seeing Believing?
John 20:24-31

Main Point: We must encounter Jesus, the resurrected Christ, and we must believe & embrace Him without seeing – when we do, we receive forgiveness of our sins and new life in Him.

1. What evidence is there that we would believe that He rose from the dead?

A. An empty tomb: vv. 1-2

*The Spin – Mt. 28:8-15

B. Numerous eyewitnesses: vv. 14-20

C. A convinced Skeptic: vv. 24-29 Thomas: Jesus accommodates him – He will prove himself to you!

2. There are those here today who have encountered the living, resurrected Christ whose lives have been transformed!

3. If Jesus is who He claimed to be – the ‘Risen Christ, the Son of God’,’ what must response be?

*Believing involves Repentance = turn away from unbelief, from whatever I’m trusting in, turn to Christ in faith and receive Him!
